- Essential:
- Ph.D. in Genetics & Plant Breeding or Agril. Biotechnology.
- OR Master's degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding or Agri. Biotechnology with 4/5 years of Bachelor's Degree, having 1st division or equivalent overall grade point average.
- Candidates with a Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences must have 3 years Bachelor's and 2 years Master's degrees, along with NET qualification.
- All degrees must be from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges.

- Ability to handle large volumes of Bt. Samples (more than 30,000) with knowledge of molecular works, ELISA & PCRs, data recording, and analysis using different software.

- The maximum age limit is 40 years for men and 45 years for women.
- Age relaxation for BC/SC/ST candidates will be provided as per Government norms.
Salary & Pay Scale
The consolidated monthly salary includes HRA. For M.Sc.(Ag.) qualified candidates, the salary is Rs. 61,000/- plus HRA per month. For Ph.D. qualified candidates, the salary is Rs. 67,000/- plus HRA per month. HRA will be provided as per existing state Government rates applicable at various places/locations.
