Candidates must meet UGC eligibility criteria. Eligibility is defined by either criterion A or B:
- A. Eminent Scholar Pathway:
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant subject, as decided by the Selection Committee.
- Have published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- Achieve a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulation No.F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), 18th July 2018.
- Possess a minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level in University/National Level Institutions, with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.
- B. Outstanding Professional Pathway:
- Be an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in relevant/allied/applied disciplines from academic institutions (not included in A above) or industry.
- Have made a significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence.
- Possess ten years of experience.
The minimum qualifications and selection criteria are as per UGC Regulations Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), Dated 18th July 2018 and subsequent amendments.
