Pay Scale (Rank-wise) Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training

• During the entire training period at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA), Gentleman Cadets will receive a stipend of ₹56,100/- per month, which is the starting pay in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix.
• Upon successful commissioning, officers will be fixed in the first cell of Level-10. Training period will not be treated as commissioned service, but admissible allowances for the training period will be paid as arrears.

Military Service Pay (MSP)

• Officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier are eligible for a fixed Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500/- per month.

Other Allowances

• Dearness Allowance (DA): Admissible at the same rates and conditions as applicable to civilian personnel.
• Para Reserve Allowance: ₹2625/- per month.
• Technical Allowance (Tier-I): ₹3000/- per month.
• Technical Allowance (Tier-II): ₹4500/- per month.
• Dress Allowance: ₹20,000/- per year.
• Ration in Kind: Provided in peace and field areas.
• Transport Allowance (TPTA):
  • For Pay Level-10 and above: ₹7200/- + DA in Higher TPTA Cities; ₹3600/- + DA in Other Places.
  • Officers in Pay Level-14 and above, entitled to use an official car, have the option to avail official car or draw TPTA at ₹15,750/- + DA per month.
• Children Education Allowance (CEA): ₹2250/- per month per child for the two eldest surviving children (Nursery to 12th class), reimbursed once a year after the financial year.
• Hostel Subsidy: ₹6750/- per month per child for the two eldest surviving children (Nursery to 12th class).
• Allowances for Defence Forces are enhanced by 25% automatically each time DA increases by 50%.
• Hardship allowances will be applicable depending on rank and area of posting (High, Medium, Low hardship zones).

Application Procedure:

1. Visit the official website: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
2. Click on 'Officer Entry Application/Login' and then 'Registration' (if not already registered).
3. Fill the online registration form carefully after reading the instructions. Aadhar number and matriculation certificate are mandatory for registration.
4. After registration, log in and click on 'Apply Online' under the Dashboard.
5. Locate 'Short Service Commission Technical Course' and click 'Apply'.
6. Complete the 'Application Form' by filling in various sections: Personal information, Communication details, Education details, and details of previous SSB.
7. Save & Continue after completing each segment before moving to the next.
8. Review the 'Summary of your information' page for accuracy.
9. Finally, click 'Submit' only after ensuring all details are correct. Candidates must click 'Submit' each time they open the application for editing any details.
10. Take out two copies of your application form (with Roll Number) approximately 30 minutes after the final closure of online application, duly signed and affixed with a self-attested photograph, for future reference and to carry to the Selection Centre.

Important Notes:

• No changes can be made to the online application after closure of the application window.
• CGPA/Grades must be converted into marks as per the university's adopted formula.
• Candidate's name, parent's name, and date of birth must match matriculation certificates.
