Educational Qualification

LDC / JSA and DEO / DEO Grade 'A': Must have passed 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University as on 07-10-2026.
DEO / DEO Grade 'A' (Specific Ministries): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject for Department/Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture, and Staff Selection Commission.
Age Limit (as on 01-08-2026): 18 to 27 years (Candidates born between 02-08-1999 and 01-08-2008). Upper age relaxable for SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC (3 yrs), PwBD (10-15 yrs), ESM, etc.

Selection is conducted in two tiers: Tier-I is an objective screening CBT of 200 marks (100 questions, 60 minutes with 15-minute sectional timers). Tier-II CBT consists of Session-I (Section-I: Maths & Reasoning - 180 marks; Section-II: English & GA - 180 marks; Section-III: Computer Knowledge - 45 marks qualifying) and Session-II (Skill/Typing Test qualifying). Final merit is determined strictly on the basis of normalized marks scored in Section-I and Section-II of Tier-II Examination (out of 360 marks), subject to qualifying Computer Knowledge and Skill/Typing tests.
