- Age relaxation up to 35 years for Widowed, divorced women, and judicially separated women who are not remarried.
- Age relaxation of 10 years for PwBD candidates (15 years for SC-PwBD, for reserved posts).
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years after deduction of military service for Ex-servicemen.

- The selected candidates will be governed by the ‘National Pension Scheme’.

Application Procedure
- Candidates must apply ONLINE through the CSIR-NEIST website: www.neist.res.in.
- The online application portal opens on 29.08.2026 at 08:30 AM and closes on 28.09.2026 at 05:00 PM.
- Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully (available on CSIR-NEIST career portal) before filling the online application.
- Candidates applying for more than one post code must submit separate applications, each accompanied by a separate SB Collect payment receipt.
- Regular employees working in CSIR/Government Organizations/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs etc., must inform their department and upload a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) at the time of online application submission.
- After completely filling the online application form, candidates should take a printout for future communication. There is no need to submit a hard copy of the application.
Application Fee & Category Concessions
- General/OBC/EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- through SBI Collect.
- SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted from paying the application fee.
