Best-Fit Profile

This opportunity is ideal for recent M.Tech./M.Sc. post-graduates in life sciences, particularly those with a strong academic record (minimum 60% marks) in genetics, microbiology, biotechnology, or biochemistry, who are eager to specialize in Advanced Cancer Cytogenetics. Candidates with existing 3-6 months of experience in Cytogenetics will find this program particularly beneficial. It suits individuals committed to a year-long intensive training and internship, willing to relocate to Navi Mumbai, and ready to engage with a premier cancer research institution.

Important Considerations

This role is not suitable for individuals seeking immediate permanent employment, those unwilling to pay course fees (Rs. 12,000 + GST) and a security deposit (Rs. 5,000), or candidates who do not meet the stringent academic qualifications (M.Tech./M.Sc. with 60% marks in specified fields). It also requires a service bond, making it unsuitable for those not committed to completing the full training and internship period at ACTREC or unwilling to serve for an additional six months post-training.

Career Impact

ACTREC, a constituent unit of the Tata Memorial Centre and a Grant-in-aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, offers high institutional prestige. This specialized training provides an excellent foundation in advanced cancer cytogenetics, enhancing career prospects in research and diagnostic laboratories within India's top cancer institutions. The program offers invaluable practical experience and professional networking opportunities, paving the way for specialized roles in cancer research or related medical fields.
