Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for accomplished academics and researchers holding a Master's degree with NET/SLET/SET qualification, or a Ph.D. in Humanities, Social Sciences, Media, Cultural Studies, Film Making, Design, Fine Arts, or allied fields. Candidates with a Ph.D. from top-ranked foreign universities are also strongly encouraged. Preference will be given to those with relevant academic or industry experience who are prepared for a contractual engagement.

Important Considerations

Candidates without the stipulated Master's degree and either a NET/SLET/SET qualification or a UGC-compliant/top-ranked foreign university Ph.D. should not apply. Individuals primarily seeking permanent government positions may find the contractual nature (initially one year) a dealbreaker. Those unable to apply online, attend an online interview, or join within 15 days of selection should reconsider.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is a highly reputed Deemed University and a grant-in-aid institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a prestigious institution with a Grade I NAAC assessment, providing significant academic exposure and research opportunities in socially relevant fields.
