Candidates must possess one of the following primary qualifications, along with additional criteria:
- Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding.
- Master's Degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding.
- Bachelor's Degree (4 or 5 years) with first division or equivalent overall grade point average.
- Additional Requirements:
- At least 3 years of teaching/research experience (e.g., Fellowship, Associateship, Training, or other engagements).
- Published one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated ≥4.0 journal.
- For candidates with a postgraduate degree in Basic sciences (3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree), NET qualification is required.
