This role is ideally suited for highly experienced, retired officers from Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Research Organizations & Labs, or Defence Forces with deep expertise in Missile Systems. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronics (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc) with a preference for Master's degrees in Aerospace (M.E/M.Tech/MS). Essential experience includes proficiency in SAM systems, guidance, navigation, control laws, and extensive background in the design, development, production, and testing of missile and UAV projects. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of guiding complex projects and contributing to national defence initiatives.

Individuals lacking significant prior experience as a retired officer in the specified sectors, or those without specialized knowledge in missile systems and related electronics, should not apply. The maximum age limit of 62 years as on July 1, 2026, is strict. This is a contractual and temporary position; candidates seeking a permanent government role or expecting a fixed pay scale not tied to their last drawn salary will find this unsuitable.
