Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Master's degree (M.A. / M.Sc.) in Psychology along with an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from a recognized University or Institution, and must have at least 02 years of clinical counselling / psychological intervention experience. Candidates must hold valid registration/credentials in Clinical Psychology.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age between 21 and 35 years as on the application deadline (10 September 2026). The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). AIIMS Bathinda, established under PMSSY Phase-V, is a 750-bed apex tertiary healthcare institute on Mandi Dabwali Road, Punjab. The Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF), established under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and coordinated by NDDTC (AIIMS New Delhi), operates under the Department of Psychiatry. Counsellors deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral relapse prevention, family psychoeducation, and compliance monitoring for patients with opioid, alcohol, and polysubstance use disorders in the Malwa region of Punjab. Working hours align with OPD and clinical psychiatric hospital schedules.
