Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a post-graduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the respective discipline from a recognized University or Institute. Mandatory registration with NMC/MCI/State medical council is required before joining. For Trauma & Emergency department, MD/MS/DNB in Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, or Orthopedics will be considered.

Age Limit Details

Age will be counted as on the date of interview (26th November, 2025).
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates.
For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates: 10 years for General category, 13 years for OBC category, and 15 years for SC/ST category.

The pay for Senior Residents is Rs. 67,700/- per month (Level-11, Cell No. 01 as per 7th CPC), along with usual allowances, including Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) if applicable.

Candidates working in Central/State Government/Semi Government/Autonomous Institutions must submit a 'NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE'.

Application Fee

Application fee is Rs. 500/- for General/EWS/OBC categories and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST categories. PwBD candidates are exempted from fee payment. The fee is non-refundable and can be paid through NEFT to the 'Recruitment cell, AIIMS, Gorakhpur' account at State Bank of India, Giridharganj, Gorakhpur (Account No. 42368584553, IFSC: SBIN0018457).
