- Minimum 50% marks in 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Minimum 45% marks in 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE Regulations 2002 for 2007-2009 session). OR
- Minimum 50% marks in 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent with a Four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Minimum 50% marks in 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent with a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- AND Must be qualified in Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for classes 1-5, conducted by the Government of Jharkhand.
- Alternatively, Jharkhand residents who have qualified CTET for classes 1-5 or TET from neighboring states can also apply, but must qualify JTET within three years of appointment.
- Mathematics & Science Teacher: Minimum 3-year Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) with at least two subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, and passed 10+2 or Higher Secondary with these subjects.
- Social Science Teacher: Minimum 3-year Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) in Arts/Humanities/Social Science/Commerce/Management.
- Language Teacher: Minimum 3-year Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) in Hindi/English/Urdu/Santhali/Bengali/Mundari/Ho/Khariya/Kudukh/Kurmali/Khortha/Nagpuri/Panchpargania/Odia/Sanskrit. Additionally, for Language Teacher, candidates need Graduation with B.Ed (Special Education) OR Post Graduation (with minimum 55% marks) with a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
For all Graduate Trained Assistant Teacher (Classes 6-8) posts, candidates must also meet one of the following teaching education qualifications:
- Graduation (or equivalent) & two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Graduation (or equivalent) or Post Graduation & B.Ed (with minimum 50% marks), not enrolled in a similar program before 29.07.2011. OR
- Graduation (or equivalent) & B.Ed (with minimum 45% marks) (as per NCTE Regulations). OR
- 50% marks in 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent & Four-year B.El.Ed. OR
- 50% marks in 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent & Four-year BA.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
- AND Must be qualified in JTET for classes 6-8.
- Alternatively, Jharkhand residents who have qualified CTET for classes 6-8 or TET from neighboring states can also apply, but must qualify JTET within three years of appointment.
Reference Date for Qualification: Candidates must have passed the required educational qualification by the last date of application submission.
