The Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC) is an apex autonomous body under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. It serves as the primary body for strategic coordination, oversight, and support for 13 prestigious autonomous research institutes under DBT, fostering biotechnology research across the country.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Deputy Director General (Science): Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical, Computational, Agricultural, Pharmaceutical or Veterinary Sciences with 16 years of post-qualification experience.
Director (Science): Ph.D. in the aforementioned sciences with 12 years of post-qualification experience.
Deputy Director (Science): Ph.D. in the aforementioned sciences with 4 years of post-qualification experience.
Director (Administration/Finance): Post Graduate degree, or Graduate degree with a two-year PG diploma, or CA/ICWA/CMA/CS with a minimum of 15 years' post-qualification supervisory experience.
Section Officer: Graduate degree, or Graduate degree with a two-year PG diploma in science, finance, or administration with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.

Age Limit Details

Direct Recruitment Posts: Upper age limit is 50 years.
Deputation Posts: Upper age limit is 56 years as on the last date of application.
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Pay levels are as per the 7th Pay Commission of the Government of India. Other benefits will be as per the Bye-laws of the BRIC Secretariat.
