Centre for Development Studies (CDS) Faculty Recruitment 2026: 2 Associate Professor Vacancies

This role is ideal for highly experienced academics and researchers holding a Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Demography, or related Social Science fields, with a strong background in development-related issues. Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or 50% for reserved categories) and a minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience at an Assistant Professor level or equivalent. A demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, alongside the ability to teach at Masters' and Ph.D. levels and supervise doctoral research, is essential. Preference will be given to those who can work in a multicultural research environment and are available to join by June 2026.

Individuals without an awarded Ph.D. and at least eight years of post-Ph.D. academic/research experience will not be suitable. Those whose Master's degree percentage falls below the specified criteria or who lack a significant publication record should not apply. Candidates unable to join by the specified date or those seeking positions outside of academic research in development economics/social sciences will find this role unsuitable. Applicants serving in Government/Public Sector Undertakings must ensure they can provide a No Objection Certificate and Vigilance Clearance.
