Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Having passed 10th standard.
- Possession of a valid driving license for LMV & HMV.
- Knowledge of motor mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle).
- Experience of driving a motor car for at least 3 years.
Age Limit Details
The upper age limit is 27 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is available for Widows, Divorced Women, and Women judicially separated from their husbands up to the age of 35 years. Relaxations for Ex-servicemen and other categories are applicable as per Government of India/CSIR instructions.

How to Apply
- Eligible candidates must fill the hard copy of the Application Form (Annexure-A) in their own handwriting.
- A recent passport size colour photograph must be affixed and signed across.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- (if applicable) through SB Collect and keep the receipt.
- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents, including educational certificates, driving license, experience certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), etc.
- The duly filled application form, along with all documents, must be sent in an envelope super-scribing 'APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF "Driver", POST CODE – D-1 Advertisement No. 06/2025'.
- The application must be sent by Speed Post / Courier to the following address: Controller of Administration, CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Post-Burma mines, Jamshedpur-831007, Jharkhand.
- The application must reach on or before 18.12.2025 (17:45 Hrs.).
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/-. SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees and eligible Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of the application fee.
