Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Common Qualifications for all posts:

  • Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) OR Bachelor of Elementary Education.
  • Qualified in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School.

Post-specific Graduation Requirement:

  • For Assistant Teacher: Graduate from a UGC recognized University.
  • For Science Teacher: B.Sc. from a UGC recognized University.
  • For Hindi Teacher: Graduate with Hindi as one of the subjects from a UGC recognized University.

Age Limit Details

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age (as on 01-01-2023):
    • Unreserved: 40 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: 42 years
    • OBC/MOBC: 43 years
    • SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
    • Persons with Disability (PwD): 50 years

Salary & Pay Scale

The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) with a salary scale of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/-. In addition to the basic pay, they will receive Grade Pay and other allowances as per 'The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019'.

How to Apply

  • Eligible candidates must apply online through the official DEE, Assam website: https://dee.assam.gov.in.
  • The online application portal will be active from 10:00 AM on January 2, 2024, to 10:00 PM on February 2, 2024.
  • No offline applications will be accepted.
  • Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their documents in colour as specified in the notification. These include photograph, signature, educational certificates, caste certificate, ATET/CTET certificate, etc.
  • A candidate can apply for only one post against a particular ATET/CTET Roll No.
  • After successful submission, a Unique Number will be generated. Candidates must keep a printout of the application form for future reference.
