Educational Qualification

Senior Personal Assistant (117 Posts): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with English Shorthand speed of ≥110 w.p.m. and English Typing speed of ≥40 w.p.m. on computer.
Personal Assistant (33 Posts - Reserved Only): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with English Shorthand speed of ≥100 w.p.m. and English Typing speed of ≥40 w.p.m. on computer (Note: No General/UR vacancy for PA).
OBC Reservation Note: Only OBC candidates possessing valid certificates issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi for castes recognized by GNCTD are eligible for reservation benefits.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidates must be aged between 18 and 32 years as on 01.01.2026 (born between 02.01.1994 and 01.01.2008). Permissible age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL (Delhi), 10 to 15 years for PwBD, 3 years for ESM, and no upper age limit for regular employees of Delhi High Court.

Stage-I: English Typing Test on Computer (10 mins, 40 wpm, Max 3% mistakes)

Selection is conducted through four successive stages:
1. Stage-I (English Typing Test): 10-minute test at 40 w.p.m. on computer (maximum permissible mistakes: 3%); qualifying in nature.
2. Stage-II (English Shorthand Tests): 5-minute dictation (110 wpm for SPA / 100 wpm for PA) and 45-minute computer transcription. 120 marks for SPA / 110 marks for PA. Permissible mistakes: up to 5% (deduction of 4 marks per full mistake, 2 marks per half mistake). Best of two trials considered.
3. Stage-III (Main Descriptive Examination): 100-mark English descriptive test (120 mins) consisting of Essay (40 marks), Letter Writing (15 marks), Grammar & Comprehension (25 marks), and Hindi-English Translation (20 marks). Minimum qualifying score: 50% for General, 45% for Reserved categories.
4. Stage-IV (Interview): 15-mark personal interview.
Final Merit: Computed by aggregating Stage-II + Stage-III + Stage-IV marks (Total: 235 marks for SPA / 225 marks for PA).
