Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For Community Health Officers (CHO) GNM / Post Basic B.Sc. / B.Sc.:
  • Candidates must have passed an Integrated course of BPCCHN included in B.Sc. Nursing in 2021 or thereafter from an institute recognized by the West Bengal Nursing Council.
  • Alternatively, candidates must have passed General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or B.Sc. Nursing before the year 2021 from an institute recognized by the West Bengal Nursing Council.
  • Must possess a registration certificate or provisional certificate issued by the West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC).
  • Selected candidates will be posted as CHOs upon passing the Final year examination conducted by a University recognized by the West Bengal Nursing Council.
For Community Health Officers (CHO) BAMS:
  • Candidates must have passed BAMS from a recognized Institute/University.
  • Must possess a registration certificate or provisional certificate from Paschim Banga Ayurved Parisad (West Bengal Ayurved Council).

Proficiency in Bengali/local language & dialect is essential for all posts. Competency in MS Office & Internet is desirable.

Age Limit Details

Candidates must be up to 40 years of age as on 1st April of the year of publication of notice. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government norms.

Salary & Pay Scale

The consolidated remuneration for Community Health Officers (CHOs) will be Rs. 20,000.00 per month. In addition, CHOs are eligible for a maximum incentive of Rs. 5,000.00 per month as Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) based on approved parameters.

During their training period, candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 10,000.00 per month.

After successful online registration, applicants must download the hard copy/print copy of the online registration form from http://hr.wbhealth.gov.in/Index.aspx (under “Application Print”) and retain it for document verification. Sending the hard copy by post is not required.

Application Fee

Application fees are Rs. 100/- for General categories and Rs. 50/- for Reserve categories. Fees must be deposited through online mode only and are non-refundable.
