Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
Must have published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals/UGC CARE LIST, and a total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations July 2018.
A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master's level is an essential qualification for direct recruitment.
A relaxation of 5% (to 50% marks) at Master's level is provided for Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September 1991.
A relaxation of 5% is allowed at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes.

Age Limit Details

Candidates with age below 58 years will be preferred. However, if a candidate is more than 58 years of age and found suitable by the selection committee, a truncated term up to the age of 60 years will be offered as per university rules.

Salary & Pay Scale

The incumbent will be appointed to the chair initially for a period of 2 years, extendable based on committee recommendation or receipt of grant from the State Govt. or concerned funding agency, whichever is earlier. The salary of the incumbent will be protected.

Applicants must take TWO printouts of the Online Application Form.
Affix the same passport size photograph (uploaded with the online form) on both printouts.
SEND one COPY of the hard copy of the online submitted application form along with self-attested copies of all certificates of Educational/Professional QUALIFICATIONS (DEGREES AND DMC'S WITH CONVERSION FORMULA OF CGPA/OGPA), EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE, and RESERVE CATEGORY CERTIFICATE to: 'THE REGISTRAR, GURU NANAK DEV UNIVERSITY, AMRITSAR-143005', PUNJAB.
Keep the 2nd copy of the application form with supporting documents for your records.
For posts of Professor, candidates must send the downloaded Score Card and Academic/Research Score Proforma, as approved by the Syndicate of the University, duly filled along with supporting documents.
Candidates who passed their qualifying examination through Distance Education mode/Correspondence mode must attach self-attested copies of Certificate(s)/Degree(s), all DMCs, and Territorial Jurisdiction/UGC-DEB approval certificate for the particular session.
Persons already in service must apply online and send the hard copy of the application through their employer.
