Applicants will receive pay as per Level 12 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 78,800 - 2,09,200), along with usual allowances admissible to ICMR employees for appointment on a regular basis under Direct Recruitment. This position also entails all India transfer liability under the Council.

1. Visit the Portal: Candidates must visit https://recruitment.icmr.org.in to register and submit their online application.
2. Early Application: Applicants are advised to apply well in advance of the deadline (29th June 2026, 5:30 PM) to avoid last-minute issues.
3. Eligibility Check: Ensure all eligibility conditions regarding age, educational qualifications, and experience are met by the cut-off date (application deadline). Applications not meeting these criteria will not be accepted.
4. Detailed Instructions: Read the instructions and procedures carefully before filling the online application form. Verify all particulars before final submission.
5. Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of self-attested/attested certificates for educational qualifications (from Matric onwards), detailed marks, date of birth, category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD), and experience certificates. Failure to upload requisite documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
6. Photograph Requirements: The photograph on the application form should be unattested. Do not wear caps or goggles; spectacles are allowed. Keep identical photographs for future use (e.g., during test/document verification). Any discrepancy in appearance between the uploaded photo and actual appearance at the examination may lead to rejection.
7. Payment: After completing the application form, proceed to make the non-refundable fee payment of Rs. 1500/- (if applicable) through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. SC/ST/Women/PWD/EWS candidates are exempted.
8. Final Submission: Once payment is complete, the application is considered complete. Candidates can take a final printout of their application.
9. No Offline Applications: Only online applications are accepted. Hard copies will not be accepted unless specifically requested by ICMR at the time of interview/scrutiny.
10. NOC for Govt. Employees: Applicants working in Central/State Government, PSUs, or Government-funded research agencies must submit a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) and an undertaking to be relieved within one month of receiving an appointment order.
11. Updates: All further details and communications will be displayed on the ICMR website (www.icmr.nic.in). Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly for updates.

A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1500/- is required. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PWD/EWS categories are exempted from paying the application fee. The fee must be paid online through the link provided in the application form.
