Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale and a valid GATE/NET score:
- M.E./M. Tech. in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Materials Science, Bioengineering, Nanotechnology, or Chemical Engineering with specializations related to sensor devices, electrochemistry, or equivalent.
- Electronics Engineering with Microelectronics specialization or any allied fields.
- M. Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences from a recognized University/Institute.
