Job Analysis

AI-generated insights

Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideally suited for ambitious candidates holding a First Class M.Tech or B.Tech degree in Civil, Mechanical, Applied Mechanics, or Aerospace Engineering. Preference is given to those with a qualifying GATE score or graduates from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of over 8.00. It's an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about research in structural components, seeking project-based work in a premier technical institute.

Important Considerations

Candidates who do not meet the specified engineering degree qualifications or the GATE/NET requirement (unless exempted under CFTI rules) should not apply. Individuals primarily seeking permanent government employment will find this contractual, project-specific position unsuitable. Those looking for roles with substantial work experience requirements will also not fit, as this is typically a research-focused entry/early-career role.

Career Impact

Working as a Junior Research Fellow at IIT Delhi, a top-tier Indian institute, offers significant academic and research prestige. Although a contractual project appointment, it provides invaluable hands-on research experience, exposure to cutting-edge projects, and networking opportunities within a highly esteemed academic environment. This experience can be a strong foundation for future careers in research, academia, or advanced technical roles.
