- Option 1: M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics & Communication (EC), Physics, or an equivalent discipline with a CGPA of 6.0 or higher.
- Option 2: B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication (ECE) or an equivalent discipline with a CGPA of 7.5 or higher (out of 10.0).
- Candidates must also have qualified a national level test (like GATE, NET, etc.) or hold a degree from a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI).
Desirable: A good understanding of Digital Communication, Information Theory, and Probability Theory.
