Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: Doctoral degree in science or Masters degree in engineering with good expertise in transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
Desirable Qualification: Hands-on familiarity with routine as well as sophisticated techniques at an advanced level in the transmission and scanning electron microscopy and sample preparation techniques.

Age Limit Details

The maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years as on the last date of receipt of the application.

Salary & Pay Scale

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 67,000/- + HRA. Post-PhD relevant research experience may be considered for a higher salary at the time of appointment, in accordance with the Institute rules. Candidates may be upgraded to Project Scientist II/III (as per the Institute rules), based on satisfactory performance and as deemed fit by the committee. An annual increment of up to 6% is permissible in case of contract extension, subject to individual case evaluation and the availability of funds.
