Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for medical graduates holding an MBBS degree with a Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/Diploma) in a relevant specialty, who possess valid Delhi Medical Council registration. Candidates with less than three years of prior Senior Residency experience, or those without PG qualifications but with three years of departmental experience (except Radiology), will find this ad-hoc position suitable for gaining government healthcare sector experience in Delhi. It is particularly well-suited for individuals seeking short-term contractual roles with potential for extension.

Important Considerations

Candidates who have completed more than three years of Senior Residency from any institution are not eligible. Individuals lacking valid medical qualifications (MBBS and PG/DNB/Diploma) or Delhi Medical Council registration should not apply. Those seeking permanent government employment will find this ad-hoc, contractual role unsuitable, as the initial tenure is for 89 days, extendable up to a maximum of three years.

Career Impact

Working as a Senior Resident Doctor at Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, a facility under the Government of NCT of Delhi, offers valuable clinical experience within a state government healthcare system. While the position is ad-hoc and contractual, it provides exposure to public health services and can enhance one's professional profile. The role is significant for specialized medical practitioners, contributing to their career development, though it does not offer long-term stability due to its temporary nature.
