Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Option 1: M.E. or M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a relevant engineering discipline, with at least 60% marks or first class. Candidates must possess knowledge in electrospinning, polymer processing, nanomaterials synthesis, and electrochemical characterization techniques.
- Option 2: Four-year bachelor's degree OR five-year integrated degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, with a first division AND a valid GATE score. Candidates without a valid GATE score may still interview for JRF, but Ph.D. registration requires GATE qualification.
- GATE qualification is mandatory, though not strictly required for the JRF interview itself.
Salary & Pay Scale
- First two years: Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA as per funding agency norms.
- Third year: Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA as per funding agency norms.
