Best-Fit Profile
This role is ideal for medical practitioners holding an MBBS degree (post-graduates in General Medicine also eligible) with a minimum of two years of experience, who are seeking a stable, part-time contractual position within a reputable Central Government bank. Candidates must have a working knowledge of computers and crucially, either reside or operate a dispensary within a 3-5 km radius of NABARD's dispensaries in Bengaluru, given the local service requirement. The role is suitable for those looking for long-term engagement, with contracts renewable up to 70-75 years of age.
Important Considerations
Individuals seeking permanent, full-time employment with extensive career progression opportunities may find this contractual role restrictive. It is not suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with less than two years of post-MBBS experience. The strict geographical requirement (residency/dispensary within 3-5 km of NABARD's Bengaluru dispensaries) is a significant deal-breaker for applicants residing outside this specific area.
Career Impact
Working with NABARD, a fully government-owned institution, offers a degree of prestige and a stable environment. While it is a contractual position, it provides valuable experience in a central government setup and the potential for long-term engagement until retirement age. However, the role is focused on medical services for employees and may have limited scope for broader career advancement typically associated with other government positions.
