Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideally suited for highly motivated candidates holding a postgraduate degree (M.Tech/M.E./M.S./M.Sc) or a first-class undergraduate degree (B.Tech./B.E.) in Engineering/Technology, particularly Chemical Engineering. A mandatory requirement is a valid CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification. Candidates with a strong academic record and a keen interest in research related to sustainable fuel production, catalysis, and chemical engineering principles, as detailed in the 'Desirable' qualifications, will find this opportunity to be an excellent fit.

Important Considerations

Individuals who do not meet the stringent educational qualifications (postgraduate or specific undergraduate degrees), lack the mandatory CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification, or are not inclined towards a contract-based research position for an initial one-year term should not apply. As this is a single vacancy and a highly specialized research project, those looking for permanent, large-scale recruitment opportunities will find this unsuitable.

Career Impact

Working as a Junior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, a respected institution of national importance, offers significant prestige. This position provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to a sponsored research project by ANRF, focusing on cutting-edge topics in sustainable energy. It is an excellent platform for individuals aiming to build a strong research portfolio, gain hands-on experience in advanced chemical engineering, and potentially pursue higher academic or research careers. The experience gained here will be highly beneficial for future opportunities in both academia and industry.
