The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is one of 31 institutions of national importance established by the 'National Institute of Technology Act 2007' and is fully funded by the Government of India. Its mandate is to provide higher technical education, conduct research in Engineering, Science, Technology, Management, and Education, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. NITC collaborates with various research organizations, academic institutions, and industries, engaging in R&D, industrial consultancy, continuing education, and faculty/staff development. Educational Qualification

Candidates are invited for the post of Adhoc Faculty in the Department of Education and Humanities Arts & Social Sciences. The candidates shall have first class in both UG and PG Level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA, if not mentioned in the certificate). Candidates who have defended Ph.D. or submitted Ph.D. thesis in the academic year 2025-26 can also apply.

Salary & Pay Scale

The remuneration will be on a consolidated basis, with no other allowances admissible. The appointment is for a period of one semester, beginning in December 2025.

** The PhD certificate (provisional or degree) must be enclosed along with the application(s). Subsequent production of certificate (especially at any date after the last date for submitting the online application) will not entitle the person to claim the remuneration for Ph.D. qualification.

All academic / professional certificates (Mark lists of all semesters/years and Degree/Provisional certificate of Ph.D./ Proof for the Ph.D. thesis submitted, PG, and UG Programmes undergone)
Caste certificate (SC / ST / Non-creamy layer OBC / EWS Certificate) from a competent authority. Non-creamy layer OBC / EWS Certificate obtained from a competent authority (not below the rank of a Tahsildar) should have been issued on or after 01/04/2025.
The PwBD category candidates should produce a certificate obtained from Medical Board concerned including the percentage of their infirmity at the time of interview.
