Job Analysis

AI-generated insights

Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for highly motivated postgraduate candidates (M.E/M.Tech or M.Sc) in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or related fields, particularly those with valid NET/GATE scores. Candidates aspiring to pursue a PhD and engage in cutting-edge research in AI-Optimised sustainable wastewater treatment will find this a valuable opportunity. Individuals with prior experience in membrane-driven wastewater treatment technology and relevant publications are highly preferred.

Important Considerations

Those seeking permanent government employment or roles with a higher number of vacancies should not apply, as this is a single, purely temporary (3-year contract) research position tied to a specific project. Applicants who do not meet the stringent postgraduate qualification criteria or are unwilling to register for a PhD program under the project will not be suitable.

Career Impact

Working as a Junior Research Fellow at a National Institute of Technology (NIT), especially on a project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (Government of India), offers significant academic prestige and excellent exposure to advanced research methodologies. While temporary, it serves as a robust stepping stone for a career in research, academia, or specialized industry, particularly for those intending to complete a PhD. The project's focus on sustainable wastewater treatment aligns with critical environmental challenges, enhancing the long-term relevance and impact of the research experience gained.
