Eligibility Criteria:

Associate Professor:
- A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
- A minimum of eight years' experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor.
Assistant Professor:
- Acharya/Master's degree with 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or a similar test like SLET/SET.
- OR
- Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Desirable for all posts: Ability to teach in Sanskrit medium.

Age Limit Details

There is no upper age limit for teaching posts. The age of superannuation for teaching staff is 65 years.

Salary & Pay Scale

Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A as per 7th CPC.
Assistant Professor: Academic Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC.
The posts carry usual allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA) as admissible to Central Government employees.
