Project Associate II

This role is ideally suited for Master's degree holders in Food Technology, Biotechnology, or Chemical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree holders in these fields with at least 2 years of relevant R&D experience. Candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Tests (like NET or GATE) will receive higher remuneration. The position involves R&D activities and extensive travel to remote villages, making it suitable for proactive individuals interested in field-based project work, particularly around the Lucknow area.

Individuals seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as this is a temporary, project-based contractual role with no claim for regularization. Those unwilling to relocate to Lucknow or undertake extensive travel should also consider this. Applicants exceeding the age of 35 years (without category-specific relaxations) or those who have already completed 6 years as Project Staff in any CSIR lab are ineligible.

Working with CSIR-CFTRI, a national research institute of high repute, offers valuable experience in a scientific environment. While the engagement is temporary and co-terminus with the project duration (up to March 2028, or earlier), it provides significant exposure to R&D in food safety and protection.
