  • Senior-PAT: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Phytochemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Pharmacy OR M.Tech/ME Chemical Engineering OR Doctoral Degree in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Pharmacy.
  • Project Associate PAT-II: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Pharmacy OR B.Tech/BE in Chemical Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
  • Project Assistant-I (NCP020401): SSC/10th with ITI.
  • Project Associate PAT-I (NCP020401): M.Sc. in Horticulture/Agronomy/Tea Sciences/Biochemistry.
  • Project Associate PAT-I (MLP002619): Master's degree in Life Sciences/Biological Sciences/Biotechnology/Botany.
  • Project Associate PAT-I (MLP002619 - Remote Sensing/IT): B.E./B.Tech. or Master's Degree in Remote Sensing/GIS/Geoinformatics/Geography/Forestry/Ecology/Computer Science OR B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, or MCA.
  • Project Associate PAT-I (FTT020604): M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology/Food Fermentation/Food and Nutrition OR M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Phytochemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Pharmacy OR B.Tech Chemical Engineering/Industrial Engineering OR M.Sc. in Biochemistry.

Age Limit & Relaxations

    • For candidates qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET/GATE or national level examinations: Rs. 35,000/- + 10%HRA per month
    • For others: Rs. 28,000/- + 10%HRA per month
  • Project Assistant-I (NCP020401): Rs. 18,000/- + HRA per month
  • Project Associate PAT-I (NCP020401, MLP002619, FTT020604):
    • For candidates qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET/GATE or national level examinations: Rs. 31,000/- + 10%HRA per month
    • For others: Rs. 25,000/- + 10%HRA per month

Application Procedure

  • Eligible candidates must appear for a Walk-in-Interview on the specified date, time, and venue.
  • Candidates should download the prescribed application format from the CSIR-IHBT website (www.ihbt.res.in).
  • Bring the duly filled application form with a recent colored passport-size photograph affixed.
  • Bring self-attested photocopies of all testimonials related to age, educational qualifications, and experience.
  • It is mandatory to bring all original certificates and testimonials for verification at the time of the interview. Failing to do so will disqualify the candidate from appearing for the interview.
  • Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
  • If applying for more than one position code, a separate application form must be submitted for each.
  • No Travelling Allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
