Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • For PGT (except Computer Science):
    • Integrated Post Graduate Course (NCTE recognized) in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate, including B.Ed. component. OR
    • Master's Degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject, AND B.Ed. Degree (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks. OR
    • Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks. OR
    • Four years integrated degree (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component.
    • Candidates must have studied the concerned subject at the Graduation Level.
  • For PGT (Computer Science):
    • M.Sc.(Computer Science/IT) / MCA from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks. OR M.E. or M.Tech (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks. AND B.Ed. degree (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks. OR
    • Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks. OR
    • Four years integrated degree (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component.
  • For TGT (All Subjects):
    • Four years integrated degree course (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks in concerned subject(s) and aggregate, including B.Ed. component. OR
    • Bachelor's/Honors Degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in concerned subject (with specific subject combinations) and aggregate, AND B.Ed. Degree (NCTE recognized, 50% marks) / three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (50% marks) / one-year B.Ed. (Special Education) from RCI (50% marks). OR
    • Post Graduation in concerned subject (or any specialization) with a minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade), provided the candidate has studied the subject(s) mentioned in the note at the graduation level, AND three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (NCTE recognized) with at least 50% marks.
    • Mandatory: Qualified in Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II.
    • Mandatory: Competence to teach through English & Hindi media.
