Essential qualifications vary by post:
- Professor:
- Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 120.
- OR Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or equivalent research experience.
- OR An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. and 10 years of experience who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the relevant field.
- Associate Professor:
- A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
- A Master's Degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Non-Creamy layer OBC/Differently abled candidates).
- Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
- Minimum 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 75.
- Assistant Professor:
- A Master's Degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Non-Creamy layer OBC/Differently abled candidates) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar UGC-accredited test (SLET/SET).
- OR Possess a Ph.D. Degree awarded as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, with exemptions from NET/SLET/SET under specific conditions (e.g., Ph.D. awarded in regular mode, thesis evaluated by two external examiners, open viva voce conducted, two research papers published with at least one in a refereed journal, two papers presented in conferences/seminars).
- OR A Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking.
