Job Analysis
AI-generated insights
Best-Fit Profile
This role is ideal for junior researchers with a Postgraduate Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Biostatistics, coupled with a PG Diploma in Clinical Research. Candidates with at least six months of clinical trial experience, especially in data management, will be highly suitable. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a government-funded cancer research institution.
Important Considerations
Individuals lacking a mandatory PG Diploma in Clinical Research or a relevant postgraduate degree should not apply. Those with only a one-year M.Sc. degree will not be considered. This is a project-based, contractual position for six months (extendable), so candidates seeking permanent government employment may find it less suitable. The role has only one vacancy, making it highly competitive.
Career Impact
ACTREC, a part of the Tata Memorial Centre, is a prestigious grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. While this specific role is contractual and project-based, working here offers significant exposure to cutting-edge cancer research and enhances professional credibility. It could serve as a valuable stepping stone for a career in medical research, particularly within government and public health sectors.
