Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification:
- PhD degree in Glaciology, Hydrology, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, or Geosciences. OR
- Master's degree in engineering in Hydrology, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, Geosciences, or equivalent branches, along with three years of post-master research experience.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Candidates with experience in GIS and programming (Python, MATLAB, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
- The RA-I is expected to perform extensive fieldwork on glaciers, requiring a good level of physical fitness and previous experience.
- A good track record of research with at least 3 publications in SCI-indexed journals is preferred.
Salary & Pay Scale
The amount of RA-I fellowship will be as per ISRO norms, which can be found at https://www.isro.gov.in/capacity-building/research-fellowships.

Interested candidates must submit a detailed CV, including all academic background and work experience, to Dr. Mohd. Farooq Azam, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Indore. Applications should be sent via e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line "Application for RA-I position in ISRO-REPOND project".
The deadline for submission is 5 PM on February 12, 2022. The CV must include complete information regarding M.Tech/Ph.D. such as year of Award, discipline, and experience certificates. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview scheduled for 11 AM on February 14, 2022. Selected candidates will be informed via email.
