- A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
- Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, or those with a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 globally, are exempted from NET/SET.
- Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject.
- AND National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET) will be the minimum criteria.
- Ph.D. degree holders (as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016) are exempted from NET/SET.
- For Business Administration & Management: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and Master's Degree in Business Administration/PGDM/C.A./ ICWA/M.Com. with first class or equivalent.
- For Chemical Technology (Pulp & Paper Tech.): B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in a relevant branch with first class or equivalent.
