Shivaji College (University of Delhi) Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026: 20 Vacancies for Director, Librarian, Assistants, and Attendants

• Director, Physical Education: Master's Degree (55% marks) in Physical Education/Sports/Science, a record of university/state/national level representation, and NET/Ph.D. qualification. Alternatively, an Asian/Commonwealth Games medal winner with a post-graduate degree.
• Librarian: Master's Degree (55% marks) in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with good academic record, knowledge of computerization, and NET/Ph.D. qualification.
• Senior Assistant: Bachelor's Degree with three years of experience as an Assistant (Level 4 equivalent) in government/PSU/reputed private sector. Proficiency in computer applications, noting, and drafting is essential.
• Semi Professional Assistant: Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science, OR a Bachelor's Degree in Library/Information Science with two years of relevant experience in a recognized institution.
• Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of working and maintenance experience with sophisticated scientific instruments in a laboratory. Experience in government/PSU/reputed private sector is preferred.
• Junior Assistant: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University, English Typing @ 35 wpm OR Hindi Typing @ 30 wpm, and proficiency in Computer Operations.
• Library Attendant: 10+2 or equivalent and a Certificate course in Library Science from a recognized Institution. Candidates will be assessed for computer application knowledge.
• Laboratory Attendant: 10+2 with Science stream, OR 10th Pass with Science and a skill certificate in Laboratory Technology or ITI in a relevant trade.

The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes (Central List), Persons with Disabilities, Ex-servicemen, and other specified categories as per Central Government and University of Delhi norms.

Age relaxation up to a maximum of five years is also available for those with at least three years of regular service in government departments, autonomous bodies, or universities.

Departmental candidates of the University/College may also be exempted from the upper age limit. Contract/daily wage/adhoc employees of the University or its Colleges with at least one year of service are eligible for a one-time exemption irrespective of age at joining.

The maximum age for Director and Librarian posts is as per University of Delhi/UGC norms. For Senior Assistant, the maximum age is 35 years, and for other posts (Semi Professional Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Junior Assistant, Library Attendant, Laboratory Attendant), it is 32 years, all calculated as on the application deadline, 26-03-2026.
