• Level-2 (Group-'C'): Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-. As per 7th CPC, Pay Level 2 (Rs. 19,900 - 63,200).
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group-'D'): Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-. As per 7th CPC, Pay Level 1 (Rs. 18,000 - 56,900).

• Stage-I (Written Test): The written test will be of 60 minutes duration and comprise 40 objective questions (40 marks) and 1 essay-type question (20 marks). It will be bilingual (Hindi/English) and cover topics related to the Scouts and Guides Organization, its activities, and General Knowledge.
• Negative Marking: One-third (1/3) of the marks allotted for the Objective Type Question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• Minimum Qualifying Percentage: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in the Written Test.

• History of Scouting/Guiding, Law and Promise
• Organization (District & State Level, National Level), Training Centres
• Knowledge of Books (Scouting for Boys/Guiding for Girls in India)
• Motto, Left-hand shake, Salute, Prayer, Flag song, National Anthem, National & Scouting flags
• Social Services, Hiking, Proficiency Badges (how earned)
• Stages in Scouting/Guiding, Thinking Day, Progressive Training of Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers
• Pioneering, Handicrafts, Indian Railway Jamborette, National Jamboree, Jamboree on the Air
• National Training Centers, WAGGGS/WOSM- Upa-Rashtrapati Award Competition, Prime Minister Shield Competition, Community Development Programmes
• Aims and Methods of Scouting, usefulness of Scouting in producing better citizens.

Marks will be awarded based on participation and service rendered in Scouts & Guides activities and specialized courses, up to a total of 40 marks:

• National Events/Jamboree (including All Indian Railway Events): First two certificates (minimum eligibility): Nil; One additional event: 7 marks; Two or more additional events: 10 marks.
• State Events/Rallies: First two certificates (minimum eligibility): Nil; One additional event: 7 marks; Two or more additional events: 10 marks.
• Specialized Scouts/Guides Course (National/State/All Indian Railways level): One Course: 7 marks; Two or more Courses: 10 marks.
• District Rallies: One Certificate: Nil; Two certificates: 7 marks; Three certificates: 10 marks.

The total marks for Stage-I and Stage-II combined will be 100 marks. Candidates must choose Hindi or English for the written examination.

1. Visit the official website of RRC/SER (www.rrcser.co.in) and navigate to the "Online/E-Application for Scouts & Guides Quota /2026-27” link.
2. Click on the "New Registration" link and fill in personal details such as Name, Father's name, Date of Birth, Community, e-mail Address, and Mobile number. Upon submission, an e-mail/SMS will provide a registration number and password.
3. Log in using the provided registration number and password.
4. Follow the instructions to complete the registration process step-by-step. Upload scanned copies of Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression (LTI), self-attested certificates for date of birth, education/technical qualifications, caste (SC/ST/OBC/EBC/EWS), income certificate, self-declarations for OBC and minority communities, and Scouts & Guides achievements.
5. Fill in all mandatory fields of the application form.
6. A Unique Application Number will be generated upon submission. Candidates are advised to save this number for future reference.
7. Submit the completed application form and take two printouts for your records.
8. Candidates must keep their registered mobile number and email ID active throughout the recruitment process for communication.

Direct applications sent to RRC/SER will not be entertained. No changes will be permitted after the final submission of the online application.

The examination fee must be paid online via Internet Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. Candidates must indicate their preference for the refund account during the online application process.
