Educational Qualification

Strict qualification limits prescribed under J&K Special Recruitment Rules:
• Class-IV (MTS) Posts: Minimum Matric (10th Pass) and Maximum 10+2 (12th Pass) as per S.O. 184 of 2020 read with SRO 99 of 2008. Candidates possessing higher qualifications (Graduation/Post-Graduation) are strictly ineligible / barred.
• Sanitation Worker Posts: Minimum 8th Pass and Maximum 10+2 as per S.O. 132 of 2022.
• Domicile: Must be a permanent Domicile of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir in possession of a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before 03.11.2026.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limit calculated as on 01.01.2026:
• Open Merit (OM): 18 to 40 years (born between 01.01.1986 and 01.01.2008).
• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / ALC/IB / EWS / OBC: 18 to 43 years (born between 01.01.1983 and 01.01.2008).
• Physically Challenged Person (PwBD): 18 to 42 years (born between 01.01.1984 and 01.01.2008).
• Ex-Servicemen: Deduct military service from actual age; resultant age must not exceed maximum prescribed age by more than 3 years.
• Casual Workers: 5 years relaxation in upper age limit under S.O. 184 of 2020.
