Cadre-wise minimum qualifications & experience:
• General Requirement (All Faculty): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in grades) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a consistently very good academic record throughout.
• Professor (Level 14A): Minimum 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
• Associate Professor (Level 13A2): Minimum 6 years teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
• Assistant Professor (Grade-I, Level 12): Ph.D. with 3 or more years of post-PhD teaching/research/industrial experience (excluding experience gained during Ph.D.).
• Assistant Professor (Grade-II, Level 10/11 on Contract): Fresh Ph.D. holders without prior post-PhD experience are appointed on contract in Level 10 (or Level 11 based on post-PhD experience). Regularization and progression to Grade-I (Level 12) occur upon acquiring required post-PhD experience and credit milestones.
