Job Analysis
AI-generated insights
Best-Fit Profile
This fellowship is ideal for recent graduates (B.O. Th / M.O. Th) with a strong academic background (minimum 55% marks) who are eager to specialize in oncology care. It suits individuals seeking structured training, followed by a compulsory internship and a bond period, within a highly reputed government-affiliated institution. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories will benefit from age relaxations. The program offers a valuable opportunity for freshers to gain specialized experience and secure initial employment in a niche medical field.
Important Considerations
Candidates seeking immediate, permanent employment without a structured training and internship phase should not apply. Those unwilling to commit to the post-internship bond period or who expect a high starting salary will find this unsuitable, as it begins with a stipend. The program is not for applicants over 35 years of age, unless they fall under sponsored or reserved categories.
Career Impact
As part of the TATA MEMORIAL CENTRE, an institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, this fellowship offers significant prestige and exposure to advanced cancer treatment and research. The specialized training in 'Occupational Therapy (Oncology)' provides a unique and in-demand skill set. While the single vacancy indicates high competition, successful completion leads to valuable experience and a contractual engagement, offering a solid foundation for a career in a specialized medical domain.
