Upper Division Clerk

This role is most suitable for experienced officers currently serving in Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Autonomous bodies. Ideal candidates will either hold an analogous post on a regular basis or possess at least 5 years of regular service as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) or equivalent. Applicants should be prepared for an All India transfer liability and have a clean service record, looking for a deputation opportunity within a central government organization.

This is a deputation opportunity, not a direct recruitment for fresh graduates or individuals from the private sector. Candidates not currently employed by government or public sector entities, or those lacking the specified 5 years of service in an LDC or equivalent grade (or an analogous post), are ineligible. Individuals exceeding 56 years of age as of the application deadline should also not apply.

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, a crucial central government organization responsible for the development and regulation of inland waterways. This deputation offers an opportunity for existing government staff to contribute to national infrastructure development and gain experience in a central sector. While the deputation is initially for a 3-year term, it provides exposure to central government functioning and a structured pay scale as per 7th CPC, enhancing one's professional profile within the public service.
