Best-Fit Profile

Ideal for Post Graduates in Life Sciences or individuals holding BAMS, BSMS, or MD in AYUSH degrees, who possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience. Candidates with proven experience in scientific manuscript writing are highly desirable. This role suits those seeking a contractual research opportunity within a prestigious government institution, offering exposure to interdisciplinary research and regulatory processes related to blood and immune disorders.

Important Considerations

Candidates who are seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as this is a purely contractual and temporary position with no claim to regularization. Individuals without the specified educational qualifications or the mandatory 3 years of post-qualification experience will not be considered. The age limit of not more than 35 years (as on 2026-06-15) is strict, and those above this age should not apply. The consolidated remuneration of Rs. 42,000/- per month may also be a dealbreaker for candidates expecting a higher pay scale.

Career Impact

Working with the ICMR-National Institute for Research On Blood and Immune Disorders (ICMR-NIRBID) offers significant institutional prestige within the Indian medical research landscape, being under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. While the role is contractual for a maximum of three years, it provides invaluable experience in a specialized scientific field. This position serves as an excellent stepping stone for researchers looking to build their profile in government-funded medical research, particularly in immunology and hematology, and can enhance future career prospects in the scientific domain.
