Advanced Training Course, Histopathology Trainee & Cytology Trainee

• Training Stipend: Rs. 8,000/- per month for the first six months of training.
• Internship Remuneration: Rs. 12,000/- per month for the subsequent six months of mandatory internship.

Selected candidates are required to deposit a security amount of Rs. 10,000/- at the time of joining, which will be refunded without interest upon successful completion of training and internship. Failure to complete the training will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and liability to pay an equivalent sum of received stipend/salary with interest.

The Advanced Training Course in Histopathology and Basic Cytology offers comprehensive training focused on both technical and practical aspects, with theoretical underpinnings. The curriculum includes:

• Induction, orientation, sample collection, and laboratory quality management.
• Routine Histotechniques (Grossing, Processing, Embedding, Staining, Special Stains).
• Frozen section.
• Immunohistochemistry.
• Cytology section.
• Periodic presentations in the laboratory on various laboratory processes.

Upon successful completion, students will be equipped to:

• Work as technologists in accredited histopathology laboratories under senior supervision or independently in smaller labs.
• Perform advanced tests and techniques in Histopathology and Cytology, ensuring quality control and reliable patient reporting.
• Acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills for further specialization.
• Receive a Certificate upon successful completion of the course.

• Venue: Room No. 68, Conference Room, Proton Therapy Centre, ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
• Documents Required: Candidates must bring original and photocopies of all qualification certificates.
• Selection Process: If more than 30 candidates apply, a written examination will be conducted, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates. Final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
• Important Note: Persons working under Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, Semi Government Organizations, and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
