Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess one of the following essential qualifications:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University.
- OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/ University.
- OR Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute / Board or Council.
Additionally, all candidates must be Registered as Nurses & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.
Age Limit Details
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- OBC: 3 years relaxation
- PWBD: 10 years relaxation (maximum age 56 years)
- PWBD + OBC: 13 years relaxation (maximum age 56 years)
- PWBD + SC/ST: 15 years relaxation (maximum age 56 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service + 3 years
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group B posts):
- General/Unreserved: 5 years (for 3+ years regular service)
- OBC: 8 years (for 3+ years regular service)
- SC/ST: 10 years (for 3+ years regular service)
Age shall be counted on the last date of closing of the application form.
Salary & Pay Scale
Recruitment for Nursing Officer posts is at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix. This corresponds to the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs.9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-, classifying the positions as Group-B for AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS.

Interested and eligible candidates must apply online for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 through the official website: www.aiimsexams.ac.in.
- The online application window is from 2025-02-24 to 2025-03-17 (up to 5:00 P.M.).
- No physical documents, including the online application form, are required to be sent. Applicants are advised to keep a copy of the application form and proof of payment for their records.
- Candidates must carefully fill their registration form as no corrections will be allowed after specified dates (an edit panel will be available from 2025-03-26 to 2025-04-01 for certain corrections).
- Ensure that images of photo, signature, and thumb impression are uploaded as per the guidelines provided in the 'Upload Image Instructions' on the portal.
