Educational Qualification
- Candidate must possess a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering / Rural Engineering / Civil & Rural Engineering / Construction Engineering / Construction Technology or an equivalent engineering branch.
- The diploma must be from an institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, or a University/Deemed University recognized under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act.
- The course must be a regular (non-distance mode) program.
Age Limit Details
- Minimum Age: 18 years as on 01.08.2026
- Maximum Age as on 01.08.2026:
- Unreserved Male: 37 years
- Unreserved Female: 40 years
- Backward Class / Extremely Backward Class (Male/Female): 40 years
- Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (Male/Female): 42 years
- Age Relaxation:
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years relaxation in upper age limit.
- Bihar Government employees who have completed 3 years of continuous service: 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.
- Contract-based employees in the Science, Technology and Technical Education Department: Relaxation equivalent to their service period on contract, up to the cut-off date of 01.08.2026.

The pay scale for the position is at Pay Level-6, with an entry pay of Rs. 35,400/-.

How to Apply
Candidates must apply online through the official website of Bihar Technical Service Commission, www.btsc.bihar.gov.in, between April 06, 2026, and May 06, 2026.
Application Process:- Read the detailed instructions carefully before filling out the online application form.
- Ensure all information regarding name, date of birth, category, and application fee is correct before making the final payment. No requests for changes or corrections will be entertained after submission.
- Candidates must use their active mobile number and email ID, which should be kept safe until the final selection.
- Upload all required documents, including educational certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), domicile certificate, age relaxation certificates, PwD certificates, and salary payment certificates (for experience claim) as specified in the advertisement. All uploaded documents must be clear, legible, and match the details entered in the online application.
- The uploaded certificates/mark sheets must have been issued on or before the application deadline (May 06, 2026).
- Specific photo requirements: A recent passport-sized photograph (taken within 3 months) with a white background, full face visible, and open eyes. Candidates wearing glasses should remove them for the photo. Keep at least five extra copies of the uploaded photograph.
- After successful online submission and fee payment, download and print the application receipt and the final submitted application form. Retain a hard copy of the application form and all supporting documents for future reference and document verification.
- The Commission will not be responsible for any internet or banking disruptions. Candidates are advised to apply well in advance of the deadline.
- Any information regarding the recruitment process, including exam dates and document verification schedules, will be published only on the official website. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 100/- for all candidates.
Additional bank charges, as determined by various banks for online payment, will also apply.
