Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a three-year Diploma (regular mode) in Electronics Engineering / Electronics Communication Engineering / Electronics / Electrical Electronics or an equivalent engineering branch from:

  • An institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
  • A University or Deemed/Deemed to be University recognized under the University Grants Commission Act, for regular mode courses.

Age Limit Details

Age limits are calculated as on 01.08.2026:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age:
    • Unreserved (Male): 37 years
    • Unreserved (Female): 40 years
    • Backward Class (BC) / Extremely Backward Class (EBC) (Male & Female): 40 years
    • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) (Male & Female): 42 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • Divyang candidates are eligible for a 10-year relaxation in the maximum age limit.
    • Bihar Government employees who have completed three years of continuous service are eligible for a 5-year relaxation.
    • Contractual employees working in the Science, Technology & Technical Education Department in similar posts will receive age relaxation equivalent to their service period, calculated up to 01.08.2026.

Candidates selected for the post of Laboratory Assistant (Electronics Engineering / Electronics Communication) will be placed in Pay Level-6 with an entry pay of Rs. 35,400/-.

How to Apply

Applications are invited online through the commission's website www.btsc.bihar.gov.in from April 06, 2026, to May 06, 2026. Candidates must carefully read all instructions before applying.

Application Process:
  1. Visit the official website www.btsc.bihar.gov.in.
  2. Fill out the online application form with correct and complete information.
  3. Provide a valid Photo ID (preferably Aadhar Card number). If Aadhar is unavailable, other IDs like PAN Card or Driving License can be used.
  4. Upload clear and legible scanned copies of all required documents (certificates, mark sheets, etc.) in the specified column. Ensure the scanned documents are not blurry, unclear, or unreadable; otherwise, candidature may be cancelled.
  5. Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI. Bank charges will be extra.
  6. Download and securely save a copy of the filled online application form and payment receipt.
  7. Candidates must retain at least five additional copies of the photograph uploaded during the application process for future use.
  8. All submitted certificates and mark sheets mentioned in the application must be presented in their original form at the time of document verification.
  9. No changes or corrections will be allowed in the application form after submission. The commission will not be responsible for any adverse consequences arising from errors made by the applicant.

Application Fee

All candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 100/-. Additional bank charges, as determined by various banks during online payment, will also apply. Payment must be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI via online mode only. Applicants should keep a copy of the payment receipt for future reference.
