Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification:
- BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communications, Photonics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Radio Physics & Electronics, Optics & Opto-Electronics, Applied Optics, or an equivalent degree.
- OR
- M.Sc in Physics, Applied Physics, Photonics, or an equivalent degree.
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates having a 1st-class degree and basic understanding of EM theory, Optical Fiber, and Laser.

Age Limit Details

Upper age limit is 35 years.
Relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female categories.
Relaxation of 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates.

Salary & Pay Scale

Stipend (i): Rs.31,000/- + HRA as admissible p.m. for candidates selected through a National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or a selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/agencies/institutions.
Stipend (ii): Rs.25,000/- + HRA as admissible p.m. to the candidates who do not fall under category (i) above.

Enclose soft copies of self-attested supporting documents/certificates/reprints.

The last date for receipt of application via email is 2025-12-07. Applications received after this date will not be entertained.
For the interview on 2025-12-09, candidates must bring original marksheets/certificates/age-caste proof for verification.
Candidates must also carry self-attested copies of all documents and their project thesis (if any) with them.
Candidates should report at least ONE HOUR before the scheduled interview time.
Incomplete applications or those without prescribed format and supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
Candidates who are presently engaged in any Project either in CSIR-CGCRI or any other Organization/Labs/Instts., should furnish the copy of NOC from his/her existing Project Leader.
Candidates with awaited results will not be eligible.
Candidates must calculate the percentage from CGPA/DGPA as per the calculation rule of their University/Institute (a soft copy of self-attested rule to be attached).
